This is not a podcast so much as a document of a time and place.  Recorded most likely in March of 1995 at our rehearsal space in San Francisco, this single recording captures a very creative and exciting point for the band.  We had recorded our first album in summer 1994 and were awaiting its eventual release.  In the meantime we had completely embarked on a new-found direction with our music.  This is evident on this recording since we only played one song from our first album.  Influenced by the indie rock bands of the day, we also fully embraced the music of Ravel, Debussy, Stravinksy, Copland and other 20th century masters.  Those unusual influences had a massive effect on our songwriting.
The recording sucks.  It was done with a boombox so there you go.  But there is a great energy and grittiness to the whole thing that makes it worth listening to.  The most notable bits are the alternate intro to "Flux I" and the presence of "Feb 95" and "The Clindser", the former never even recorded, the latter never released.
Also, this was a rehearsal for our April 6, 1995 show at Nitebreak in San Francisco.  This was my 24th birthday show and i distinctly remember playing the first 5 songs back to back (like on this recording) and really wanting to drink my beer about half way thru!
Without further ado...

Song list:
Flux Capacitor I - IV
The Clindser
Haloing
Pitch A Tent
Feb 95
Unfearless

More random stuff from the library. 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.
Raspy voice courtesy of California allergies. Any lower and i'll be in Barry White territory.
Rock!
